Hi Everybody!
Thanks for taking a look at my website. My name is Jennifer Myers, and I have owned Center Yourself Massage since early 2005. I graduated 1st in my class at Deep Muscle Therapy School, once located on RT 7 in the Pike Creek area. I enjoyed a brief stint as a Teacher’s Assistant before the school was bought out by a larger education company. I look back fondly at the opportunity to be educated at the best massage school in Delaware.
I grew up in Massachusetts, went to highschool in South Carolina, lived 4 years in Missoula, Montana, 2 years in Southern Vermont, Connecticut, New Hampshire, etc. etc. I met my mountain-loving husband at an Appalachian Trail festival in Damascus, Virginia. He was born and raised in Hockessin. We now live happily in Newark with our black lab, June.
I am in support of healthy communities. Pride in local business, eye to eye contact and non-judgement. I strive to create a massage studio that is free of pretense. An authentic, unassuming destination where you can feel comfortable and considered.
As important as the massage work itself, is the powerful impression of a calm and fluid space where your mind and body is encouraged to let stress dissolve. To be warm and relaxed, to be open to the intrinsic natural healing your body is capable of doing.
As owner and therapist, it is my goal to provide clients with professional, capable, deep-tissue based bodywork with resounding results. It is also my priority to create a uniquely comforting space. If you are looking to have your first massage, or seeking to try someone new, I’d be proud to be your therapist.
